大明崇禎 染付宝相華文盃
時代：明時代末期・崇禎年間（1628～1644年）
本作は、明時代末期にあたる崇禎年間に焼成されたと考えられる染付磁器の盃であり、当時の磁胎の質感と絵付け技術を伝える一品です。白く精緻な胎土に艶やかな透明釉が施され、やや小振りながら端正な器形に、染付による文様が明快に映えています。
見込み中央には宝相華（ほうそうげ）と呼ばれる想像上の花文が描かれ、その周囲には蔓草がめぐり、口縁部には雲文が帯状に配されています。いずれも吉祥を意図した文様構成であり、明末青花磁器にしばしば見られる意匠的特徴を備えています。
このような盃は、当時の宴席や喫茶の席において用いられていたとされ、実用器でありながらも文様に美意識が込められた工芸品です。
類例は台北・故宮博物院および欧米の主要なオークションカタログ等にも散見され、明時代磁器の典型的意匠として長く評価されてきました。

Blue-and-White Porcelain Cup with Baoxianghua Design
Period: Late Ming Dynasty, Chongzhen Era (1628‒1644)
This small yet elegant blue-and-white porcelain cup was fired during the late Ming Dynasty, the Chongzhen period. It demonstrates the refined texture of white porcelain clay, overlaid with a lustrous, transparent glaze that enhances the clarity and depth of the cobalt blue designs.
At the center of the interior, a stylized baoxianghua - an imaginary flower often associated with auspicious meaning - is prominently painted. It is surrounded by arabesque vines, while a band of “ruyi" cloud motifs decorates the rim. These elements are emblematic of late Ming blue-and-white ware and reflect typical decorative style of the time.
Such cups were typically used for drinking tea during ceremonial or social occasions. While functional in nature, the finely painted motifs elevate the piece with artistic elegance.
Similar examples are held in the collection of the National Palace Museum in Taipei and have appeared in prominent international auctions, underscoring their importance as representative works of late Ming Porcelain Art.
